Sports Achievements

Ishini Wickremesinghe was awarded the Gold Medal at the 10th Asian Schools Chess Championship 2014 in under 15 girls Category. She was also awarded the title Chess Fide Master (FM) for her outstanding performance in the same.

Table Tennis

South Asian Cadet and Junior Table Tennis Championship 2014.
  • Ruvini Kannangara, represented Sri Lanka at the above championship which was held in Pakistan and has won 2 Silver Medals at the Junior Girls Team event and at the Junior Girls Doubles event and a Bronze Medal at the Junior Girls Singles event.

Zonal Netball Tournament was held on 10th March 2014 at Sirimavo Balika Vidyalaya – Colombo. Musaeus College was awarded under 17 championship and under 19 championship trophy.

Musaeus College emerged champions at the All Island Inter-School Biology Quiz Competition organized by the Faculty of Medicine – Colombo “TOP 10” places were awarded to,

Musaeus College dancing troupe “Thishra” (Under 19) trained by Mrs. Samangi Bodhiyabadu, emerged 1st place from the All Island Dancing Competition Finals 2012 organized by the Ministry of Education.



Asini Siyara PolwattageAsini Siyara Polwattage of Grade 8 won the 3rdplace in the age category of 10 – 12 years at the Art Competition themed ‘My Dream Car’ organized by the Toyota Lanka Company this year. Her drawing will complete with the drawings of the children all over the world in the near future.
Musaeus College is gifted with a cash prize from the Toyota Lanka company and the school organized a wonderful ceremony to felicitate her.

Future Minds Competitions – 2012

Musaeus College won several valuable gifts and certificates at the Future Minds All Island Competitions, which were held along with the National Educational and Career Gateway Exhibition organized by Nalanda College Junior Old Boys’ Association.
The Chief Guest for the event was honourable Gotabaya Rajapaksa, The Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development Authority.
